TN Farmers Protest At Jantar Mantar Started Again Tamil Nadu farmers had started the protest in Jantar Mantar, Delhi yesterday. They stated protest in the heavy rain and tied their legs and hands with iron chains. As on second day they continues the protest tying their hands and legs and with Skulls and skeletons placed in front of them. Headed with Ayyakannu, the group of farmers again started their agitation seeking the loan wave, setting Cauvery management, merging of rivers and several others. Farmers had suspended their almost 41 days protest on April last week after Tamil Nadu CM and central minister Radha Krishnan assured to take steps in waving of the farmers’ loan. But still farmers did not get any responses from the government. Ayyakannu said Tamil Nadu government had not taken any action for their agitation and cheated them. Oil Leakage In Kathiramangalam: Protest Against ONGC AT Tanjore For past one month villagers are staging protest against ONGC operations in Kathiramangalam, the village of Thanjavur district. They are regularly staging protest against ONGC and some farmers were arrested few weeks ago. They demand Oil and Natural Gas Corporation to stop operations at the village. On July first week, about 350 residents in the village were taken to police custody. ONGC said they are undergoing repair and maintenance works and not any new operations. NASA Found 10 New Earth Sized Planets NASA had earlier discovered 219 new planet candidates using Kepler space telescope. Out of these, 10 planets of which are near Earth sized and are orbiting in their star’s habitable zone. As per the NASA’s report planets with roughly the same size and orbit as Earth. Using 4 years of Kepler observations, the final planet candidate catalogue contains the best characterised data yet. Kepler had also identified more than 4000 planet candidates and 2300 confirmed planets orbiting other stars. Future studies could reveal a vast range of planet and help enable the search for life. The data also provided a new way to find whether a planet has rocky surface like earth or it is filled with gas like Neptune.
