BJP Candidate Ram Nath Kovind Is New President Of India Members of Parliament and State assemblies have cast their vote for the President candidates on Monday. The vote count began today morning at 11 am, ruling party BJP’s candidate Ram Nath Kovind is in lead and the officially election result will be announced at 5 pm today. Meira Kumar is nominated by Congress and she is back in several votes than Ram Nath. There are 8 rounds of counting. After receiving 11 states votes Ram Nath was a leading candidate. As it crossed the half way mark, he is set to win the presidential polls. Ram Nath Kovind had been leading with votes 479,585 while UPA candidate Meira Kumar had 204,594 in that round. Once the vote counts received from various states, the final result will be announced at 5 pm today. The 71 years Ram Nath Kovind, former Bihar governor from 2015 to 2017 and also been member of Rajya Sabha for two times from 1994 to 2006. He was born on 1st October 1945 in Kanpur Dehat at Uttar Pradesh. The new president would take oath on 25th July 2017. He will be 14th president of the republic India.

China Land Slide 100 people buried Due to some parts of mountain collapsed in Maoxian County in Ngawa Prefecture, Sichuan Province, China 40 homes were destroyed and it is reported at least 100 people buried in the incident. Rescue team had rushed to the spot and they are under way to rescue and locate the missing people. A part of the mountain had blocked two kilometre stretch of river in the area. NASA Launches World Lightest Satellite Designed by TN Student Indian student born in Tamil Nadu had created history when NASA launches his lightest satellite on Thursday. This world’s smallest light weight satellite is created by team of 7 members headed by 18 year old student Rifath Sharook. It is named as Kalam Sat after the former President and scientist Abdul Kamal. It is 3D printed and Carbon fiber polymer satellite; the first time 3D printed technology is used in the space and it s weighs 64 grams. With launch of this satellite India had proved again it is superior in science and technology. Global space record was created. Dr. Srimathy Kesan, founder and CEO of Space Kids India had supervised the project. Part of the components were supplied from India and other parts from abroad. A student at Inventure Academy, Bengaluru had now become a gifted student in the country. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test NEET Issues National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) has several oppositions in Tamil Nadu. Madras High Court today asked why NEET is not accepted in the state. NEET exam will be held at May 7th. Nearly 88,000 students have been applied to the exam. The state has 2,200 centers for the exam in 104 cities including Chennai, Coimbatore, Namakkal, Madurai, Trichy, Thirunevelli, Vellore, Salem and others. Several groups and students demand the state as exemption from NEET. Meantime former Vice Chancellor of Anna University M. Anandakrishnan supports NEET exams. The court had expressed displeasure over farmer’s suicide and the state government not taking enough measure to the issue.
