TN Farmers Protest At Jantar Mantar Started Again Tamil Nadu farmers had started the protest in Jantar Mantar, Delhi yesterday. They stated protest in the heavy rain and tied their legs and hands with iron chains. As on second day they continues the protest tying their hands and legs and with Skulls and skeletons placed in front of them. Headed with Ayyakannu, the group of farmers again started their agitation seeking the loan wave, setting Cauvery management, merging of rivers and several others. Farmers had suspended their almost 41 days protest on April last week after Tamil Nadu CM and central minister Radha Krishnan assured to take steps in waving of the farmers’ loan. But still farmers did not get any responses from the government. Ayyakannu said Tamil Nadu government had not taken any action for their agitation and cheated them. He said state and central government are not considering them and police are urging them to stop the protest and to quit the place. Oil Leakage In Kathiramangalam: Protest Against ONGC AT Tanjore For past one month villagers are staging protest against ONGC operations in Kathiramangalam, the village of Thanjavur district. They are regularly staging protest against ONGC and some farmers were arrested few weeks ago. They demand Oil and Natural Gas Corporation to stop operations at the village. On July first week, about 350 residents in the village were taken to police custody. ONGC said they are undergoing repair and maintenance works and not any new operations. The residents allege they are trying to take methane and other gases from the unit. Following it, today the people had complained that oil is being leaked from the pipline and mixing into the ground water. They seek action from the government immediately. Due to ONGC oil pipeline in the village the people are suffering without safe and clean drinking water. There are also reported the villagers found smoke at the leaking area in the pipelines. There is a fear of fire exhaust in the leakage area. Villagers have protested on the road to take action for the leakage. Rajendhra Bhalaji Proves Milk Powder Adulterated By Two MNCs Tamil Nadu Dairy Development Minister KT Rajendhra Bhalaji on Tuesday said milk powder supplied by Reliance and Nestle contains chemicals like Bleaching powder and caustic soda that causes several diseases including cancer. He added this adulterated products could cause problems like ulcers, diabetes and problems in hearts, liver and kidneys. He told to press that he will consult the Chief Minister and Health Minister to ban the products. Earlier the samples were tested in Aavin laboratory in the state. Later the minister sent it to the Pune lab which refused to test and it was tested indirectly in Central government certified lab at Chennai. The test reports about Nestle and Reliance milk powder were released by him. He also added Aavin milk powder, milk and curd are pure and tested in central government certified lab via private media. China Land Slide 100 people buried Due to some parts of mountain collapsed in Maoxian County in Ngawa Prefecture, Sichuan Province, China 40 homes were destroyed and it is reported at least 100 people buried in the incident. Rescue team had rushed to the spot and they are under way to rescue and locate the missing people. A part of the mountain had blocked two kilometre stretch of river in the area. The incident took place at 6 am at local time when it there is heavy rain. Meantime China had stopped group of pilgrimage headed to Manasarovar. They were stranded in Indian border and denied permission to enter China. The officials say there is possible landslide on the Chinese side and may be allowed once it is rectified. NASA Found 10 New Earth Sized Planets

NASA Found 10 New Earth Sized Planets NASA had earlier discovered 219 new planet candidates using Kepler space telescope. Out of these, 10 planets of which are near Earth sized and are orbiting in their star’s habitable zone. As per the NASA’s report planets with roughly the same size and orbit as Earth. Using 4 years of Kepler observations, the final planet candidate catalogue contains the best characterised data yet. Kepler had also identified more than 4000 planet candidates and 2300 confirmed planets orbiting other stars. Future studies could reveal a vast range of planet and help enable the search for life. The data also provided a new way to find whether a planet has rocky surface like earth or it is filled with gas like Neptune. Top Corrupted States In India According to the survey conducted by the Centre for Media Studies, Karnataka gets first place in most corrupted state and it is followed by Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab. Meanwhile Himachal Pradesh holds top in least corrupted states and Kerala stands 2nd place in minimum corruption. The Centre for Media Studies had surveyed 20 states in the country and over 3000 households in rural and urban areas. Around one-third of the households experienced corruption in public services at least once during the last one year. Nearly 77 percent of people is said to be experienced corruption in public services in Karnataka. Andhra Pradesh has 74 percent while Tamil Nadu has 68 percent. As per the report in 2005, Bihar stood first in corruption by 74 percent followed by Jammu and Kashmir (69 percent), Odhisha (60 percent), Rajasthan (59 percent) and Tamil Nadu (59 percent). Meantime, more than half of the respondents felt the level of corruption had been decreased at the time of demonetization during November and December last year.
