PM Modi Israel Visit: India-Israel ties have seen rapid growth
Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu extended grand welcome to Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi. Modi had arrived in Israel on Tuesday as a 3 days historic visit. He is the first Indian Prime Minister to visit the Jewish state.
Israel Prime Minister Netanyahu was excited to receive his friend Modi and now he will accompany Modi throughout all his programs. He will be attending 18 programmes in next 48 hours in the state.
He had been served with specially made India dishes by a popular cooking team. Israel government had provided Modi to stay in a world’s safest place.
Modi paid tributes to the women, men and children whose sacrifices can never be forgotten at Yad Vashem memorial museum. Yad Vashem is a reminder of the unspeakable evil inflicted generations ago where over 6 million Jewish lives were lost.
PM visited the Danziger Flower Farm, where he saw pioneering work in floriculture. He shared that he learnt about latest innovation and research in agriculture including technology in the sector, sensor networks and more.
Prime Minister Modi at the press meet shared “India-Israel ties have seen rapid growth over the last several years and we together must resolutely oppose evils of terrorism, radicalism and violence.
The link between our people goes back to thousands of years when the first Jews landed on India’s south-western coastline. Since then, the Jews have flourished, and their traditions and practices thrived in India. My visit to Israel celebrates this ancient bond between communities across both our nations.
India is a fast growing economy and we are using technology and innovation for the progress of our nation. Our focus on using technology and innovation to meet our development priorities provides productive scope to expand our academic, scientific & research, and business links.”
