Renault launches Kwid car in India Today

The French Company Renault launches its new model car Kwid at the basic entry level which suits Indian road and economy today on 24th September.

The company unveiled its new car concept last year and its price range between 2.5 – 4 lakh. The car is built up to shoot 98% localization and it was developed by Nissan and Renault. It is built with 800cc and 3 cylinder engine, 5 speed manual gear box, gives mileage of 25.17 kmpl and weighted around 660 kg and 300 litres fuel holding capacity.

Renault Kwid style has SUV looking face, best in class ground clearance 180mm. It gives room to 5 people and it has touch screen media navigation system of 7inch screen, Bluetooth and digital instrument console. It is offered at 5 different colors Fiery Red, Ice Cool White, Planet Grey, Moonlight Silver and Outback Bronze.

The event began on Thursday afternoon at 12:00 pm and Renault Kwid car was launched by President of Renault-Nissan Alliance Carlos Ghosn.

Price of Renault Kwid starts from Rs. 2.56 lakh in ex-showroom Delhi. Kwid STD price Rs. 2.56 lakh, Kwid RXE price 2.88 lakh and Kwid RXT price Rx. 3.44 lakh.

Renault says this car delivers best in class in fuel efficiency and in a affordable price. Renault plans to set up more than 200 outlets in India at the end of this year, and it says this car makes the new segment in Indian auto market and there are no competitors in India at present.
