Amit Shah To Visit Lingayat Mutts In Karnataka

Hardly the Central opposition Party, Congress is surviving in power only in four states, among those states Karnataka is considered to be the largest and leading state. Recently, Siddaramaiah, the Chief Minister of Karnataka has granted a minority religion status to Lingayat community in Karnataka, who are considered as the worshipers of Lord Shiva especially the Ishtalinga Idole. They are also known as the followers of a 12th-century social reformer Basuvanna and they have appealed for detaching from the Hinduism as they don't follow the rule of varna Shastra. furthermore intensively he granted the status while it was already a few days to roll over the Assembly election of Karnataka, 

Karnataka's Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah had sent the granting order last week for the center's node. But Amit Shah the president of BJP had commented on the action of Karnataka's CM as he is playing a political game for pulling vote banks of BJP. Anyhow, the Central government has not yet to approved the Karnataka's recommendation over Lingayat issue.

Following the continuous slipping for BJP in many states, BJP President Amit Shah has planned to visit mutts associated with Lingayat and Dalit communities and to attend many programmes in Central Karnataka region by staying there for a couple of days. Also, he will be interacting with people in districts of Chitradurga, Davanagere, Shivamogga and Tumakuru to know their queries.

In addition to these, Amit Shah is participating in the farmers’ and traders’ meetings, a roadshow in Shivamogga and BJP party events.

A report from a trusted source claiming that Amit Shah is planned to convince Lingayat senior mutts to continue their support to BJP in the upcoming assembly elections.Reports also suggested that after his meeting with the mutts, the Centre will make a decision over the approval of minority status to Lingayat community.

Recently, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has praised the twitter comment of his counterpart in Andhra Pradesh Chandrababu Naidu regarding funds allocation of the central government to the state governments and also criticised the BJP President Amit Shah by saying that he does not have an understanding of tax division.

BJP has declared B S Yeddyurappa has been declared as its Chief Minister candidate a few days back. Being a nation's ruling party that holds more than half of Indian States, BJP is planning to bring down Congress from power also in Karnataka but it depends mainly on the task how they tackle the Lingayat issue.
