Assam Floods: Flag Hoisted in Flooded School
A teacher from Fakirganj, Dhubri district of Assam uploaded a photo of flag hoisting in his school flooded with water on 71st Independence Day.
The photos of students saluting the flag reflects the people believe and patriotism towards the nation. Mizanur Rahman, the teacher of the school who posted the photo texted 'Happy independence day to all..... I m the asstt teacher at this school, school name...1185 No. Naskara LP school.. under Fakirganj Police station. Dhubri....no need to tell how we are right now, pic will tell all the stories...i did not expect this kind of support....thank you all for sharing this picture'
Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised to state Chief Minister for providing all possible support to the state regarding the heavy floods for past several days. As per the report due to heavy rain for past few days over 30 lakh people in Assam is affected and over 20 people died by floods. At least 3000 villages in 25 districts are separated due to flooded water. Agricultural lands in several districts are deadly submerged by water.
Meantime there are another shocking incidents happened in the state. A minor girl has been sexually assaulted on the eve of Independence Day by the CRPF jawan. The accused was detained and complaint was booked against him. Moreover the reports say several jawans in north eastern states are threats for the normal lives of the people in the regions. Particularly Nagaland, Manipur people hate Indian Jawans and say they are rapist. Why can't Indian government is not controlling them is the biggest question asked.
