Setting up of new ITI college in RK Nagar was approved by Chief Minister Ms. Jayalalitha on Friday. The new college will be set up by the required infrastructure, buying equipments and teaching and non-teaching staffs with the sanctioned fund of about 7.25 crores.
The new ITI College will have 11 teaching and 17 non-teaching staffs and government will allocate annual budget of Rs. 26.50 lakh to develop the infrastructure and allocated Rs. 77 lakh for creating the building.
Enroll of Admission will be soon progressed as soon as permission received from the government. The 3 under graduate courses will be introduced initially English, Economics and Commerce. In each course 60 students can be admitted and initially admission will be 40, depending up to the candidates and demand the number may increase up to 60 says the officials of Directorate of Collegiate Education.
The Chief Minister had already announced the setting up of ITI in Thanjavur, Virudhunagar, Pudukottai, Villupuram and Perambalur to fulfill the wishes of students in industrial training. At present state owns 77 it is that train over 29000 students in both engineering and non engineering courses every year. Now 15 new ITIs are added to train about 3000 more students that make to achieve the goal of CM's Vision 2023 says the source.
