Cow Aadhar Started At Coimbatore Tamil Nadu
Like the aadhar number distribution for humans the central government started distributing aadhar number for cows on trial basis. It is started in Coimbatore city in Tamil Nadu. Nearly one lakh cows will have their own identity number.
They have planned to issue aadhar number for the cows in 7 districts including Salem, Villupuram, Madurai and Coimbatore. The process had begun few days back in Coimbatore. The number will be issued through 105 outlets like veterinary hospitals, veterinary doctors, veterinary medical shops.
The card with 3 different colours will be issued by categorizing cows under native cows, hybrid cows and buffaloes. This Aadhar cards will be very useful for knowing the details about the breeds. It is also useful for maintenance of cows and it becomes easy to take surveys regarding number of cows, increased numbers, medical conditions and diseases spreading, etc.
The cows are taken stills and details of it are collected. The aadhar card will contain cow photo, identity number, breed type, details about injections given and others. The same details will be registered in veterinary council of India website.
Chief imam of the All India Imam Organisation (AIIO) Umer Ahmed Ilyasi on Saturday demanded a uniform law in whole country in banning cow slaughter. He said beef is openly consumed in Kerala, Goa and some northeastern states and there is ban in some states.
