Nearly five People have been killed in MP and Rajasthan after the Bharat Bandh shown its ugly phase in the northern states of the nation. Many Dalit communities have called for a 24 hours bandh in the northern states on Monday to mark their opposition against the Supreme Court's verdict that diluted the Prevention of Atrocities Act on March 16 of 2018.
Punjab state has rolled out earlier on Sunday at first to mark their opposition in the name called Bharat Bandh. Due to the bandh, the state government had ordered the closure of schools and colleges and suspended all examination temporarily. But the Bharat Bandh had turned more violent in the states like Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.
Places like Gwalior, Bhind, Morena, Sagar and Balghat of Madhya Pradesh kicked up a violent protest against the Supreme Court's order on Monday. As same as Madhya Pradesh places like Barmer and Karauli Rajasthan and Meerut and western parts of Uttar Pradesh had erupted with huge protest and stone pelting and gunshots. It is also reported that some group of miscreants used guns against the police officials in Meerut.
It is officially confirmed that the protestors had torched many police vehicles and many public transport vehicles in the western part of the UP. As per the source, nearly five persons were found dead and more than 30 people found injured badly after in the violent turned Bharat Bandh regions of the nation.
Curfew has been imposed in many parts of the northern states after the police acknowledged with the deaths in the protest. State Governments are intended in taking necessary steps for controlling the violence in the many northern states. Yogi Adhithyanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh had called for an urgent meeting with the higher officials of the police department and the IAS officials of the state regarding preventing the extension of violence.
Reports suggesting that lakhs of protestors were gathered around Delhi to block the main transportation roads by showing up with sudden Marching and gathering.
Armed Police units and RAF units have been deployed in Madhya Pradesh, Western UP, Gujarat, Punjab, Delhi and many parts of the northern states to maintain the order.
