India had launched heaviest rocket GSLV-Mk III with communication satellite GSat19 on Monday evening at 5:20 pm from Sriharikota. GSat-19 is a multi beam satellite which was sent to monitor nature of charged particles and to study influence of space radiations on satellites. It has the life span of 10 years that features advanced spacecraft technologies.
Satellites weight 3,136 kgs and 43.43 metres tall. It is another historic moment for the nation when the GSAT-19 satellite successfully separated at 960.8 seconds from the rocket and placed in orbit. It laid foundation to the several future projects.
