It was significant that the attack was preceded by covering fire from Pakistani posts in Battal sector. Blood samples of the Indian soldiers that have been collected and the trail of blood on Roza Nala clearly shows that the killers returned across the Line of Control.'

Reportedly, the body parts of the soldiers were taken to the other side. The martyred soldiers’ bodies were taken to their villages in Uttar Pradesh and Punjab for final rites.

India's Vice Chief of Army Staff Sarath Chand said 'Pakistan will have to face the consequences.'

Pakistan had denied the allegations and sought actionable proof over the incident. The 42-year-old NB Sub Paramjit Singh and Head constable Prem Sagar are two Indian Army men killed by Pakistan army personnel.
