India Train Derailed Near Kanpur Killed 133
India’s train had been crashed due to derailment near Kanpur that killed more than 130 people. The death toll is feared to increase further. Indore- Patna express derailed at 3:00 am on 20th November.
There was critically condition prevailing in the region. The rescue team are still in search of bodies. They continue the rescue works and finding people in critically injured states. The cause of this accident is not known yet. The railways sources say there may be fault in the track and it is the worst accident in the recent history.
Ministry of Indian Railway had listed 180 people names who died and 56 who were severely injured. Fourteen coaches of the train travelling with more than 500 passengers got derailed in Pukhraya 60 km from Kanpur when passengers were sleeping.
Some 250 members are involved in the rescue workers. Two giant cranes are trying to remove the carriages from the train track. The survivors say they are lucky to be survived after the dreadful accident. Special train have been arranged to shift the remaining passengers to Kanpur.
Railway Safety Commissioner (Eastern circle), PK Acharya has reached the spot today to inquire. Railways minister Suresh Prabhu is closely monitoring the situation. It is said the train was overcrowded, that carried more than its capacity with or without tickets.
The opposition parties say accidents can he avoided if government spends money improving the present railway rather than bullet trains.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted 'Anguished beyond words on the loss of lives due to the derailing of the Patna-Indore express. My thoughts are with the bereaved families. Prayers with those injured in the tragic train accident.'
