Kashmir Clashes after terrorist Burhan Wani Killed
Since after the 22-years-old terrorist Burhan Wani killed by security officers on Friday night July 8th there are clashes between extremists and police. Nearly 31 people died in the clashes including one police man. At least 1500 injured in the attacks. Report says there were over 500 clashes in 4 days and it continues on fifth day today.
On Tuesday, two attempts were made by the group of people to snatch weapons from troops. In terrorist native place Tral a group attacked 4 cops at the post and tried to take of their weapons.
A police station in Damhal Hanji Pora in Kulgam two days ago was attacked by the protesters and they took away nearly 70 weapons from the police.
There were severe protests against the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist in Jammu & Kashmir. Youths gathered together and involved in snatching weapons from the police which was very common. Burhan had earlier brainwashed several youth to take weapons and join their organizations.
J&K Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti urges for peace. She warns anti-social elements and urges for calm and peace. She also stated government will handle all possible steps to safeguard the people and urged parents to take care of their children.
She sought the cooperation of the people to avoid further loss of precious lives destruction of public properties. She said government is taking various steps to restore calm and peace. Hundreds and Thousands of people lost their near and dear ones in the insensible violence she added.
She appealed to all media, political leaders, religion heads and all other citizens to help government to restore the peace in the state.
