Mamata Banerjee Meeting Opposition Leaders In Delhi

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has met some popular politicians of Northern states on Tuesday in her four-day visit to New Delhi. These rare meetings of Mamata with politicians reveal her expectation to form a coalition against BJP before 2019 General Elections. The politicians' list includes Nationalist Congress Party Chief, Sharad Pawar, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut of Shiv Sena and Lalu Prasad Yadav's daughter Misa Bharti.

In a Press Meet, when Mamata was asked about her meeting with the important leaders of the nation, Mamata replied the press that if politicians met each other what would they discuss other than politics and added that she also decided to meet BJP's senior leaders Yashwant Sinha, Arun Shourie and others tomorrow. Mamata also slammed the central ruling BJP, "There is no party in India more communal than BJP" and added that she is witnessing a huge difference in BJP's rule that was under Vajpayee and now.

Following this, Mamata has arrived Parliament today to meet her old colleagues, her party MPs and leaders of other political parties.

Last week, Sonia Gandhi had arranged for a dinner to gather the opposition parties in one side and it was attended by leaders of 19 parties including NCP Chief Sharad Pawar but Mamata Banerjee could not make her presence. Similar to this, Sharad Pawar also has called the opposition leaders to his home for a dinner to discuss the ideas to face the upcoming Lok Sabha Election strategically.

Other than these leaders, Mamata had met Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray, DMK chief MK Stalin over the last four months. Earlier this month, Telangana Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao had met Mamata and expressed his ideas to form a third front against BJP and Congress. But, Mamata replied neutrally telling him if something happens he would get to know.
