ONGC Continuous Oil Extraction Not Only Kathiramangalam But All 110 Places
ONGC manager Rajendran on Saturday said ONGC are safe to environment and will continue to work not only in Kathiramangalam but in all the places they initialized the projects. 'Nearly 110 oil wells had been found earlier in the Cauvery Delta region. We have discussed the issue with Kathiramangalam people for about 5 hours and explained about the project. Extracting hydrocarbon is very safe and it is proper as per science.
It has been explained how the project will be processed to the Neduvasal people on the head of Minister Pon Radhakrishnan. We have made it understand to Neduvasal protestors but we could not make it for Kathiramangalam protestors who were continuously under protest. Local authorities had said us to wait for some time,' says Rajendran.
He also added 'People feared when there is leakage in oil pipe and the oil pipes are continuously being monitored by the engineers. ONGC wants to do the project without harming or giving fear to people.
Neduvasal project has been started on February and ONGC had described about the project. But hydrocarbon project is taken by Gem Laboratories and there is no need for ONGC to explain about this project to the people.'
He says ONGC is working on the project of taking oil from already found 110 sites. It will work there keeping the people and environment wellness in mind. It will not get back and continue to work in those regions.
