PM Narendra Modi to discuss about the impact of global economy on India and India's opportunities on global events in the meeting with top industrialists, top economist, top bankers and RBI today.
Today PM Narendra Modi meets the Top industrialists in India includes Mukesh Ambani (Reliance Industries Head), Cyrus Mistry (Chairman of Tata Group), KM Birla (Chairman of Aditya Birla Groups), Sunil Mittal (Chairman of Bharti Enterprises), RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan, economist and bankers for the discussion on global economic scenario.
Top bankers, leading economist, senior cabinet ministers and officials will also be present in the meeting. About 40 delegates will attend the meeting and it focus on the agenda 'Recent Global Events: Opportunities for India'.
A wide range of discussion is expected on the economic events and India’s opportunity to get into it and take advantage of the global scenario and crisis. PM also hears about the stakeholders how India can make the global growth. Impact of China's economic status on India will be discussed today.
This was the second meeting in last two months. First meeting with India Inc was held on June 30th. In that last meeting PM heard about the crisis on high Business capital that is not picking up and its poor growth, difficulties faced by medium and small scale industries. PM had separate meetings with Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Confederation of Indian Industry.
Today's meeting will be held at Prime Minister's Race Course Road residence at 10:30am. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley addresses and starts the meeting followed by Chief Economic Advisor Arvind Subramanian's presentation.
Heads of all the three industry chambers also attends the meeting. Others top business men includes Essar group head, Adani group head, ICICI bank CEO, Mahindra Group Chairman, and SBI Chairman were some among them to attend the meeting.
