Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the foundation ceremony of the formation of new Andhra Pradesh's capital Amaravathi.
Hyderabad is being the capital of Telugana and Andhra Pradesh up to 10 years. Andhra is in position to develop new capital; it has chosen Amaravathi covering 30 villages between Vijayawada and Guntur. This place is easily accessible for both cities 32 km from Guntur and 39 km from Vijayawada.
The city will be covered 33,000 acres on the banks of River Krishna and it is centrally located between the main cities Guntur and Vijayawada. Amaravathi is also chosen for its historical fame city, it was once the capital place of the Buddhists and 2000 years ago Satavahanas has built their capital Dharanikota just 2 km away to this place.
Narendra Modi kept the foundation stone for the city and addressed the function. He gave Chandrababu Naidu the sand of parliament ant the Yamuna river water to show his full support in developing of the Andhra Pradesh. Modi promised he will extend his help whenever AP needs and said center joins with AP government and support their dreams to come true.
He also stated this foundation of the new capital is the development of the whole state and it will surely makes the economic revolution in the future. He also praised the Chandrababu Naidu for inviting the Telugana CM Chandrasekar Rao at his residence and appreciated both leaders good relationship. It is good that these two leaders who have been the sword enemies had joined closely.
To develop this new capital, the sand will be collected from sixteen thousand villages and cities throughout the state. Moreover waters from the holy rivers across the state and sand and water from other places like river Manasarovar, Ganga, Aajmer Dargah, Medek church will be brought for the construction work. The sand from the birth place of the Indian leaders and freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhiji, Sardar Vallabai Patel, Ambedkar and Abdul Kalam is to be gathered for this capital's construction.
After inaugurating the Andhra's capital ceremony Prime Minister joined in the inaugurating Garuda International Airport Terminal in Tirupathi. He also worshiped Lord Venkatachalapathy in Tirupathi Temple.
