Police Vehicles Set To Fire By Unknown Group Triplicane Police Station
After 6 days long protest by crores of young people throughout the state of Tamil Nadu, finally emergency ordinance was passed to conduct jallikattu. But the youths demanded permanent ordinance that assure the bull taming in the state permanently.
Chief Minister O Panneerselvam said he will open the Vaadi Vaasal at Alanganallur yesterday. But the people did not accept it and demanded the permanent solution. The event did not take place in Alanganallur and CM returned. At some part bull taming was conducted and people were excited.
Two men lost their lives in the sport at Pudukottai and hundreds got injured.
Police were deployed in several parts of the state to remove the protesters today. They arrived at the spot in early 5 am. First they requested people to leave the place. When people asked some more time Police involved in aggressive action on them.
Police blocked all roads to Marina and started expelling large groups of students and youngsters. They asked time to react on it but due to police aggressive behaviour they refused to leave the place. They went near the sea water and gathered as chain.
Some Celebrities and others requested the youths to leave the protest now and can gather later. Some requested them not to get provoked by other people. Many had condemned the police act on the students including Kamal Haasan.
Jallikattu supporters like Hiphop Aadhi and Karthikeya Sivasenathipathy are today have the meet with government.
As per the latest report, some groups of people attacked police station and burnt vehicles standing there. Including a police car and 20 other vehicles were set into fire near Tiruvallikeni (Triplicane) police station.
