Prime Minister Gets Mother Blessing On His 66th Birthday
Prime Minister Narendra Modi met his mother Heeraban at Gandhinagar and got her blessings today on his 66th birthday. The 14th Prime Minister of India birthday celebrations are made in various parts of the country. Prime Minister gets wishes from the people of India and from foreign Nationals.
He also met his family members and relatives in his home town. He planned to inaugurate Kadana- Hafeshwar irrigation project at the state today. And his plan is to attend function at Navsari where physically challenged people will receive the aid.
At Divyang Mega camp 989 lamps are lighted today on celebration of PM's birthday. It has made a new world record of lighting most oil lamps simultaneously in a single venue.
Narendra Modi became Prime Minister of India after 2014 elections with clear majority. He was born in 1950 at Vadnagar at Gujarat. He was a third child in the family of 4 kids. His father ran a tea shop in the village railway station. Modi had assisted his father for selling tea in morning and used to go school after the work.
He had completed distance education holding degree in Political Science from Delhi University. He joined RSS at his teen age in a low cadre and developed to leadership quality in 1980s at the party. In 1987 he was appointed as person-in-charge in RSS. He worked hard for the development of the party and state. He was appointed as general secretary of BJP in 1998.
He had been Chief Minister of Gujarat from 2001 to 2014. During this period, he encouraged foreign investment, his economic policies made improving Gujarat economy. He improved national standard of health and sanitation in the state. He was also criticised for his failure to prevent Gujarat riots in 2002.
