Ragala Venkat Rahul Gets Fourth Gold For India In Weightlifting

Indian Weightlifters are rocking since the commencement of Common Wealth Games 2018 on April 4 in Gold Coast, Australia. On the opening day, Mirabai Chanu (48 kg) bagged a gold medal while Gururaja (56 kg) a silver medal.
With Tamil Nadu weightlifter Satish Kumar Sivalingam winning gold for India today morning, Andhra Pradesh's Ragala Venkat Rahul won the fourth gold medal for India attaining Gold in the men's 85 kg weight category with 151 kg Snatch, 187 kg Clean & Jerk and the total weight of 338 kg. He successfully lifted 151 kg weight in two attempts.
Earlier, Rahul appeared in the 2017 CommonWealth Senior Weightlifting Championship held at Gold Coast, Australia and won two gold medals in both junior and senior cadres.India now bags 6 medals with 4 gold, 1 silver and a bronze. President of India, Ram Nath Govind recently congratulated the 20-year old Venkat Rahul Ragala for his achievement.
