RBI Released Details About New 2000 and 500 currency
Following Prime Minister announcement about the 500 and 1000 rupees notes and new currency Reserve Bank of India had released the details of the new currency notes rupee 2000 and 500.
They also rejected the false news about micro nano chip embedded in the new notes. RBI says it as a false report. In the details released by RBI they have not stated anywhere about the nano chip in 2000 rupee.
The news circulating in the social media pages are 'The new currencies are made up of new nano technology bond within. It has Nano GPS Chip (NGC) embedded with the notes.
It does not need any power sources to detect and it acts as a single reflector. When Satellite sends the request regarding the notes and NGC reflects back the signal from the location. The serial number can be tracked easily in this way. Even when the currencies are kept in underground of about 120 meters can be detected.
More over the exact amount can tracked at the stored location. It also tracks the high concentration of currency found in certain location for longer period other than banks or financial institutions. The information will be passed on to the Income Tax Department for further investigation.'
The RBI is introducing new design banknotes in the denomination of rupee 2000 as part of Mahatma Gandhi (new) series. It will be in size of 66mm x 166mm. It also has Mangalyan on the back side. The base colour of the note is magenta. It also has other designs and security concerns in it.
The new rupee 500 notes have the Mahatma Gandhi (new) series which has different colour, size, pattern and security features. It has stone grey colour with 66mm x 150mm size. It also has the new theme of Red Fort.
The bank will remain open at Saturday (Nov 12) and Sunday (Nov 13) to get exchanged the currency notes.
