People can get Rs. 2000 currency notes in the ATM today. The old notes Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 will be accepted in government hospitals, petrol stations, buses, electricity board, and milk booths for some more days.

Prime Minister announced suddenly about the demonetization of scraping old notes Rs 500 and Rs 1000. New currency notes Rs. 500 and Rs. 2000 will be issued for the old notes at the banks and post offices. Following his announcement, people are suffering with various problems related to the currency notes. Long queue at banks, unable to get money in proper time, common people are unable to get the daily needs and crisis extends.

Prime Minister Modi requested the people to bare the issues for the sake of eradicating the black money and corruption in the country. He had assured to clear entire crisis before December 30th.

Special team was set up to re-calibrate ATMs and supply of new currency will be increased in post offices and banks.

There are no parking fees at the airport and other public places which are extended for few more days. There are no collections at toll gates for some more days.

The government had raised the withdrawal amount from Rs 2000 to Rs. 2500 at ATMs and weekly withdrawals of Rs. 24000 at banks. The deadline of exchange of old notes to new currency note is December 30.

The government had eased norms of withdrawing the amounts. Several ATMS will be re-calibrated and opened today for withdrawal of new currencies. They say enough cash will be available in the coming days. Micro ATMs will be functioning across the country in few days. People can withdraw their amounts from ATMs for several times a day.
