Rs 9000 Crore Allocated for Swachh Bharat

This year budget aims for rural areas development and cleanliness. This budget gave disappointment for the corporate owners. It had allocated Rs. 9000 crore for the government's Swachh Bharat Mission which is aimed at to clean roads, streets and for the infrastructure. It aims at developing toilets at the rural places. Fund was allocated ensures 80 lakh for every village Panchayat. For urban areas Rs. 2,300 crore was allocated for the Swachh Bharat Mission. Totally Rs. 11,300 crore was allocated for this mission.

The union minister Arun Jaitley spoke at the Lok Shaba on the budget session. 'This subject were very close to the heart of Father of Nation. For the first time since the independent our parliament had a comprehensive debate on sanitation. This has become a topic of discussion in almost every home. We have introduced raking of urban areas in sanitation which has resulted in constructive competition along towns and cities,' said Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.

Swachh Bharat aims to construct sanitation facilities to all rural areas. It plans to construct 12 crore toilets within the year 2019 in rural areas. It was doubled from 46 lakh in 2013 to 93 lakh was constructed in 2016.

Rs. 38500 crore was allocated for MNREGA (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act).

Moreover this budget concentrates to make the steady income of the farmers. Minister announced 35,984 crore for the farming sector and said 5 lakh acres land will be brought into organic farming in 3 years under Krishi Vikas Yojana.

A Young girl received appreciation letter from Prime Minister

Prime Minister Narendra Modi appreciated the efforts taken by a girl who is studying 10 std. She was more interest in her social works inspired by mother Teresa. She is active in social works since 5 years. She had worked for creating awareness to save girl child and also campaigned against alcohol and cigarettes. She had joined in Prime Ministers' Swachh Bharat Mission and currently she is very active. She often writes letter to PM, broadcasting minister, Chief justice of India regarding various issues.

She received appreciation letter from Modi with a biography book of Vivekanandha. She is Jhanvi Behal studying class 10 in DAV Public School, Ludhiana in Punjab.
