This year state topper in SSLC exam had missed one mark to score 500. Prema Sudha and Sivakumar had secured 499 out of 500 in the state board exam. Prema Sudha wants to become a cardiologist while Sivakumar aims to become Chartered Accountant.

Prema Sudha belongs to village near Ernampatti. She was educated in Rasipuram SRV Excel Higher Secondary School, Namakkal district. Her father Rajendran owns the small onion farm. Her mother Renuka Devi is a home maker. They were extremely happy for their daughter who made them proud. They said she is a hard worker and comes rarely to home stayed in hostel for studying.

Noble matriculation student R. Sivakumar of Virudhunagar district dedicated this success to his teachers and parents. He is a son of physically challenged State Bank of India employee K. Raghupathi.

This school had produced 3 state toppers. The other two are B. Vishnu Priya scored 498 and K. B. Krishna Praba scored 497 are among them. M. Saravanakumar belongs to Saiva Bhanu Kshatriya Higher Secondary School, Aruppukottai in Virudhunagar district is also a state topper.

Second and third toppers are crowded with many students. 50 students scored 498 marks while 224 students scored 497 marks and occupied state toppers list. It should be noted that most of the state toppers are girls. Among the state toppers 217 are girls and 59 are boys. Girls pass percentage is 95.9 while boys secured 91.3 percent.

Overall this year pass percentage is slightly increased to 93.6 percent compared to 92.9 percent last year.

CBSE Class 10 results

According to the Central Board of Secondary Education, of the total 14,99,122 registered students for Class 10th examination, 8,92,685 are boys and 6,06,437 are girls.
