Tamil Nadu Traders Association Joins Strike Supporting Farmers
Tamil Nadu Traders Association announced to join the strike supporting farmers on April 25th. All shops and markets will be closed on the day from 6 am to 3 pm. Nearly 21 lakh shops will be closed says Vikrama Raja, leader of TN Traders Association.
Meanwhile they have planned to close shop on May 5th also. 'We were discussing two strikes close to one other will lead us to trouble but seeing the farmers' struggle it is worth doing the strikes.
Traders always support farmers, they are protesting to grab center's attention towards them. We are supporting them. We express our support to the decision taken by all parties meet in the head of MK Stalin on the strike,' he said.
Today Aiyakkannu said to the media their protest will continue till the death or demands are achieved.
Puducherry Chief Minister Narayanasamy supports TN farmers who are protesting in Delhi. He said their demands are genuine and government should consider it. He insisted at least farmer's loan in National co-operative bank should be waived.
