Tension Prevails At Coimbatore As Hindu Munnani Spokesman Hacked To Death
Many shops in Coimbatore and Tripur districts have been closed and more the 500 police were deployed in the cities to avoid protest and bad incidents following the death of Hindu Munnani spokesman.
Hindu Munnani spokesman Sasikumar aged 36 was hacked to death by 4 members at Subramaniyampalayam on Thursday night. There was high tension prevailing at Coimbatore and Tripur district due to his death.
Sasikumar lives in Subramaniyampalayam area of Coimbatore district. He was attacked by 4 unknown gang members when he was returning home. He was chased by them by motor bikes and attacked by sharp weapons. He had suffered with about 11 severe injuries. He was rushed to the hospital where he died. His body has been taken to postmortem at Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital.
Due to his unfortunate death, Hindu Munnani state President called for state wide bandh on Friday. President of Hindu Munnani organization stated the team and its leaders have been attacked since Vinayakar Chadhurthi celebrations.
Many shops and buses do not run in the Coimbatore city. Some men had thrown stones on the standing buses at Uppilipalayam in Coimbatore. Schools, colleges and other organizations are running pleasant today at the city.
