TN Chief Minister Thanks PM Modi for Metro Extension

Tamil Nadu Chief Minster Ms Jayalalitha wrote thankful letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the approval of phase I metro extension.

She wrote 'I understand that the Union Cabinet has accorded approval to the proposal to extend Corridor I of Phase I of the Chennai Metro Rail Project from Washermanpet to Tiruvotriyur / Wimco Nagar covering a further 9.51 kms at a cost of Rs 3,770 crore. I thank you for the approval accorded to this proposal which would enable Metrorail services to be provided to the densely populated neighborhoods of northern Chennai.'

'On behalf of the government of Tamil Nadu and the people of Chennai, I thank you for having accorded clearance for the implementation of the Chennai Metro Project Phase I Extension,' she had added in the thankful letter to Modi.

The operations of Chennai Metro rail were inaugurated on 29th June last year for Tamil Nadu in keeping with our request to continue such special allocations.

Today AIADMK party members paid tribute to Kanniya Thendral Quaid E Millath for his 121st birthday.

In Lok Sabha, AIADMK is the third largest party with 37 seats. It has 12 MPs in Rajya Sabha. BJP has minority has 65 MPs. When BJP join hands with AIADMK it would become strong at the Rajya Sabha. In the upcoming meeting on June 14th, BJP to convince AIADMK to join NDA. It is trying to strengthen NDA alliance. While AIADMK is trying to get the financial support from the center in several projects.

Both parties have good relationship so far. BJP likes to formalize relationship by making AIADMK as its alliance. More over the both parties meetings are keenly observed by the other parties and press.
