Tributes To Iron Man of India On His Birth Anniversary
Today India celebrates 141th birth anniversary of India’s Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Prime Minister Narendra Modi pays tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on Rashtriya Ekta Diwas at Patel Chowk, New Delhi. He offered floral tributes at Sardar's statue.

Remembering Sardar Patel’s contribution to India to bring people of states together Prime Minister delivered the speech on Sunday in the Mann Ki Baat radio program. Modi had highlighted the contribution of the National leader on his speech. Sardar's birthday is celebrated as National Unity Day.
Sardar had significantly contributed for National unity and welfare of farmers. Modi will inaugurate digital exhibition that will showcase Sardar's part in integrating India.
'Every Indian dreams of a strong and self- reliant Nation. We are one India because of Sardar Patel. We must never forget Sardar Patel's Mantra for unity. The credit for unifying India after independence goes to him,' said Modi.
He also remembered former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s death anniversary and paid tribute on this day. He also mentioned on Sardar's birthday thousands of Sikhs were killed due to Indira Gandhi’s assassination.
