TTV Dinakaran Charged for Bribery
Delhi Police today arrested a middle man called claiming he got Rs. 1.3 crore from TTV Dinakaran for deal to get 2 leaves symbol of AIADMK for RK Nagar by-election. He was arrested in Hyatt hotel on Sunday night. The money approximately Rs. 1.3 crore has been recovered from him.
Meantime TTV says to the media that he does not know the person in the name Sukesh. He denied all links with Sukesh. 'I have not heard and come across this person, I learned it through news when getting ready to meet Sasikala in Bangalore. I will face it legally and answer them,' he says. He also added he had nothing to do with the bribery charges against him.
Delhi police (crime branch) also claimed Sasikala's nephew Dinakaran is ready to pay up to Rs. 50 crore to buy the two leaves symbol. A special team has been formed under Joint Commissioner Praveer Ranjan regarding these investigations. There was also allegation on Dinakaran on attempts of bribe for officials in Election Commission of India. The police have not found evidence against any official of EC.
Election Commission of India had stopped the by-election due to various illegal money transfers to the people for vote. The IT raids against Vijayabaskar had stopped the by-election in the area. The strong documents from him shows Rs. 4000 was Sasikala faction gave to every voter in the region. It states around Rs. 89 crore were distributed among the votes in the constituency.
Meanwhile there is a peak drought condition in the state. Farmers are protesting more than a month in Delhi demanding loan waiver, drought relief and others. CM Edappadi Palanisamy of Sasikala's AIADMK is keeping silent regarding farmer's issue like what PM still doing.
