Two Kannada Actors Death: Case Filed Against Producer
Two stunt Kannada actors were died last evening during the stunt sequence at the Thippagondanahalli Reservoir. They jumped from the helicopter at the middle of the deep water without any safety measures. After 20 hours of search still the bodies of the actors were not found. Meanwhile the case was filed against producer of the film who has been absconded after the incident.
Anil Verma 31 and Raghav Uday 38 jumped into the reservoir for the climax scene of Kannada film 'Maasti Gudi' at Bangalore. The makers did not take care of any safety measures for them. There are no life jackets or speed boats or rescue team at the spot. They were drowned to death after jumping from helicopter at about 30 feet height.
Few minutes before the stunt, the actors given their final speech to media pointing out they are not good swimmers. The film actor Duniya Vijay who jumped after those two stunt men managed to reach the shore. Those two are caught in the waves of water and drowned to death. Reportedly, the team has permission only to shoot the scenes at the banks of lake and not in middle of the waters. It is reported that FIR has been filed agaist the Maasti Gudi makers.
Raghav Uday was seen in negative roles in the films. He had worked with Puneeth Rajkumar, Ramya and many others. Anil was Vijay’s close friend and worked for several movies earlier.
The whole cine industries are shocked at this incident. Several celebrities shared their condolences and condemned such unsafely stunts.
