UP Government Waives Rs 36,359 Crore Loan For Farmers
Uttar Pradesh newly formed government under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced loan waive as promised before the election. They decided to waive farmers’ loan on the cabinet meeting yesterday.
Almost 21 million farmers will be benefited by this loan waiver. The BJP lead UP government on Tuesday decided to buy 80 lakh ton grains from the farmers with the minimum sale price of Rs 1,625 a quintal and additional price Rs. 10 for transport and loading expenses. The marginal and small scale farmers will have beneficiary by this.
Meantime, Tamil Nadu farmers are protesting at Delhi for about 23 days demanding loan waiver, drought relief fund and river linking. It is still not been heard by higher authorities of Central government. The government had allotted Rs. 1748 crore which is very small percent of their actual demand. The Madras High on Tuesday ordered to waive off all section of farmers debt at Cooperative Bank.
The support for Tamil Nadu farmers are increasing. The farmers from several states extended their support to them. They say their protest will continue until the central government writes off loan from nationalised banks and permanent solution for water.
