US Returned Precious Artefacts

Prime Minister Narendra Modi this three days visit to US is considered as very important as he meets President Obama in his last stage of present ruling period. This meeting will be considered as the good bonding relationship between two nations.

It is a fourth trip of Modi in US in last two years after Modi came to power.

On Monday he was welcomed by US Defence Secretary Ashton Carter and bang with 19 gun salute. He had visited ‘Tomb of Unknown Soldiers’ at Arlington National Ceremony.

Modi paid homage to first Indian women in space astronaut Kalpana Chawla. She was died with his six crew members when his aircraft returning to the earth orbit on 2003 February. He met her husband Harrison while Harrison presented Modi with his wife’s biography 'The Edge of Time'.

He had a look on artefacts on the ceremonial event. US had returned over 200 cultural artefacts to India estimated value $100 million (almost Rs. 660 crores). Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked US for returning precious artefacts.

After culture visit PM had interactions with Think Tanks and shared perspective on various issues. Modi will meet US President Barack Obama today. Prime Minister has an important speech on Global warming during this meet to US. He will also address joining meeting of US congress on the third day and heading to Mexico.

This meet will lay a strong foundation between India and US. Modi ambitious project to create 100 gigawatts power from solar and remaining 75 from winds and other renewable resources seems to get help from US.
