AIADMK Sought Apology from BJP Minister

Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of power and renewable energy on March 25 in the meeting at Delhi said he could not reach Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha.

'It is a part of the country where I can't even reach out to the Chief Minister. I have made several attempts to talk to the leaders without success. I have access to 28 states in the country but on the 29 state if even I call up and I talk to the Power Minister. He hears me and says I will talk to Amma and get back to you. In Parliament, any of the members of that party can’t open their mouth unless they have a script which has been sanitized or vetted at Chennai and they read out from that. He also added He was able to reach out CM only once in 18 to 22 months,' Piyush Goyal said.

Reply to the statement, AIADMK party state finance minister O. Panneer Selvam said 'PM Modi and his ministers met Amma on eight occasions in the last two years. He is spearing false allegation on Tamil Nadu Chief Minister.' He also added CM is always accessible for the discussions regarding benefits of Tamil Nadu. Minister also put questions against BJP for not fixing date to meet PM reading GAIL project and CM putting force in Tamil Nadu fishermen issues.

State Power Minister Natham Vishwanathan said 'Union Government's UDAY scheme won't benefit Tamil Nadu. For political reasons, Piyush Goyal is spreading false allegation on TN.'

Hearing on this AIADMK party had sought apology from BJP for Union Minister comment on the party.
