CBI Raids Former Union Minister Chidambaram House

It is probably the first time Ex- Finance Minister Pa Chidambaram meets the CBI raid. One of the congress top leaders Chidambaram and his son Karthi Chidambaram Chennai house has been raided by Central Bureau of Investigations (CBI) today at early morning. Targeting his sons and his friends house at least 14 location in Chennai city is searched by CBI today.

Recently CBI registered case regarding corruption in Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) clearance given to a company called INX Media belongs to Peter Mukherjea and Indirani Mukherjea. Peter Mukherjea's residence was also raided by CBI.

It has registered case as Karti had got money from the company for clearance. CBI records statement from Karti in his residence. CBI is checking Karti and his friends' places in the city for more than 5 hours.

When media approached former union minister Chidambaram he said that this raid is to threatened him not to write and speak against the ruling party but nothing can stop me.
