Makkal Needhi Maiam 2019: Kamal Haasan, leader of Makkal Needhi Maiam, said that his remaining life is for the people. For Lok Sabha election 2019, Kamal Haasan spoke in Pondicherry AFT grounds  last Sunday  "They told that I will not get out of the field. I've been involve within three months. They told I will not go to the villages. But we started from the village. Our party enemies give us good ideas. If they had just kept quiet, we would not have come to this idea."

"Inking the finger is enough to indicate their mistakes. We stand alone. Others are like going to go to Sabarimala, who are grouped together for the fear of elephants. The whole crowd has joined together. They will gather and then dismiss. But this is confluence."

"Tamil politics has changed my life. I've come to this after leaving my life and my business. When I asked myself what I did at the top of my fame. I felt guilty but I am late. So I come in search for people. This is not a cinema verse. My remaining life is for people only ".
