Pollachi Sexual Abuse Case Videos Ban and Compensation

Four people have been convicted for gang rape in the Pollachi sexual abuse of innocent women. Many of them are school girls, married women. In the trial of the case, teachers and the doctors are also abused as per the information from the gang. Thousands of college students in Chennai, Coimbatore, Pollachi and Tiruppur have been boycotting their classes and protesting the manner in which this abuse case is being handled by Government.

In this case, the CBCID is investigating the case of the main culprit of the case. The court also directed the case to be transferred to the CBI. The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court (MHC) ordered the TamilNadu Government to give interim compensation of 25 lakh as in Pollachi case, victim's identity revealed by the Tamilnadu Government.

The main culprit, Thirunavakurasu, was taken into custody for 4 days by CBCID. The Pollachi sexual abuse case has caused a stir in the nationwide with protests against the authorities taking place every day in various places.
