Alanganallur Jallikattu Happening Today

After the huge protest for jallikattu, finally youngsters and students achieved success and brought an emergency permanent law to conduct jallikattu in the state. Chief Minister O Pannerselvam took initiative to bring the law to the state after consulting PM Modi and law experts.

Jallikattu had been conducted in various parts of the state and finally the famous Alanganallur jallikattu is being conducted today. About 950 bulls and 1650 hull tamers are participating in the sport. Nearly 2500 police cops are deployed for the security purpose.

Central Minister Pon Radhakrishnan is monitoring the sport. DMK leader MK Stalin and actor Lawrence came to the sport to watch the sport.

The exciting prizes like Alto, 5 bullets, tractor, gold and silver coins are waiting for the best bull tamers. The students participating in the sport has the separate gallery for the sport.

The bull tamers took pledge that they will not hurt bull and they obey the rules and laws of the jallikattu. There was ambulance kept alert near the spot.

Jallikattu has been started at Kallipatti near Trichy. In Neikaaranpatti at Palani Jallikattu will be held on Feb 19th.
