Today is the tenth day of Rio Olympics 2016. India had participated in various competitions and won no medals until now. Still India has hope on remaining athletes. It has hope on wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt, Narsingh Yadav and Sandeep Tomar. The women wrestlers Vinesh Phogat, Babita Kumari and Sakshi Malik will be participating in the upcoming events.
Women Badminton PV Sindhu qualified for quarter finals that will be held tomorrow on Aug 17. Most anticipated badminton athlete Saina Nehwal had lost the matches. Srabani Nanda participated in women's 200 m and completed in 23.58 s and ranked 55 in round 1.
Lalitha Babar participated in Women's 3000 m steeplechase Final and ranked 10 with 9:22:74 minutes.
In Men's wresting Hardeep Singh will be participating in Men's Greco-Roman 98 kg today in Round of 16.
Women's discus throw – Seema Punia ranked 20 in qualifying round with 57.58m.
Sania Mirza in mixed doubles with R Bopanna lost match with Czech Republic in Finals for Bronze medal match.
The great disappointment is India's shooters returning with no medals. India's medal hope lies in wrestlers Yogeshwar Dutt, Hardeep Singh and team.
India had competed first time in women Gymnastics with most enthusiastic Dipa Karmakar. She had reached finals in Women's vault and ranked 4th. She had reached the edge with lots of expectations and managed to finished 4th. She had apologized to the people of India who had hope on her. She is the first Indian female Gymnastics to achieve this.
Though she had not won medals she had won the hearts of one billion people. Her stoke impressed all Indians at the midnight and she is pride to India. She missed a medal by mere 0.15 points and she stays as inspiration to all sports people and future Gymnastics in India.
She had broken all stereotypes and proved herself as the best Gymnastics and people of India are appreciating her sincere efforts.
