Tamil Nadu Premier League Starts from Today, Tamil Nadu Premier League is to Start today with the first match between Chepauk Super Gilles and Tuti Patriots at 6:30 pm. The trophy was recently launched by MS Dhoni at Chennai. The TNPL Anthem was released following that which was tuned by popular musician Anirudh Ravichander. TNPL tag line is Namma Oru Namma Gethu. Dhoni had spoke in Tamil to support TNPL and pronounced the tag line.

Popular cine stars Dhanush, Shreya Charan, Madhavan, Andrea, singer Karthik and Dhanshika to grace the event today at M. A Chidambaram Stadium at Chepauk, Chennai. The league final match will be held on 18th September 2016.

The eight teams are participating in the league that includes

Karaikudi Kaalai. Owner: Chettinad Apparels Private Limited, Captain - Badrinath, Coach - Robin Singh
VB Thiruvallur Veerans. Owner: VB Cricket Academy, Captain - Aparjith B
Chepauk Super Gillies. Owner: Metronation Chennai Television Private Limited, Captain - R. Sathish, Coach - Hemang Badani
