FTP not working in Airtel broadband 777VR1 VDSL router modem

Airtel is one of the leading telecom companies in India and also providing best in class Broadband Internet support overall and including customer support. Since many new internet service providers launched their FIBER net connection with high speed at lowest cost, Airtel shifted to new technology with VDSL modem to compete with speed. Existing customers can use same monthly rental plans with maximum up to 50 Mbps speed within minimum of 100 GB data per month.

File Transfer Protocol (FTP) not working in new airtel broadband connection which is after recent update from AIRTEL as Technology Update. Previous airtel broadband internet connection will not have this issue but when we switch to new technology internet update, it happens. It is not related to Airtel Internet service. It is purely related to the new VDSL modem provided by Airtel. Modem has default settings to block FTP connections.

It is very simple to solve, in 777VR1 Modem, follow attached image or follow steps.

- Login into your modem and navigate to Advance > NAT > ALG > FTP (enable it)

If you did not get 777VR1 Modem, please go to Advance settings in your modem and search for FTP
