India has now made the world's cheapest smart mobile phone at the unheard rate of Rs. 251. The mobile company Ringing Bells launched Freedom 251 smart phone which has Android 5.1 and has 3G facilities.
The phone comes with the 4 inch touch screen display with 540 by 960 pixels. It has the speed of 1.3 GHz Quadcore processor with 1GB RAM. The internal storage capacity is 8 GB which can be expandable upt0 32 GB. It has camera with 3.2 mega pixel primary camera and also 0.3 pixels of front camera for selfies. The mobile also has the connectivity of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, FM, sensor and several installed apps.
Noida based company Ringing Bells was established in 2015. It was launched by BJP MP Manohar Joshi on the event at New Delhi. This is the part of Make In India movement says the source.
The mobile comes with the warranty of one year. The battery and charger has 6 months warranty and 3 months for ear phone. The cheapest mobile phone currently at market is for Rs. 1500. Reliance communication and DataWind are working together for producing cheapest mobile that will be Rs. 999 and this is almost in the final stage and soon expected to hit the market.
The mobile reaches people via dealers and retailers show rooms. They have made announcement about release of its first lot. They have talked to the e-commerce vendors to make it online purchase.
The experts say it is impossible to sell a smart mobile phone at this price. They say it as a marketing Gimmick. Many medias and experts are analyzing the actual cost of raw materials for the phone and comparing the prizes.
