Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Peace Effort with ISIS Ended
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, a spiritual leader in India tried to initiate peace talks with Islamic State. But today he had announced his peace dialogue with the ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) ended.
'I tried to initiate peace talks with the ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) recently but they sent me a photograph of a beheaded body of a man. Thus, my effort for a peace dialogue with the ISIS ended. I think the ISIS does not want any peace talks,' he said.
In turn to the peace dialogue of Ravi Shankar, the photograph of beheaded body of man was sent to him. It shows there is no sign for the peace talk with ISIS and Ravi Shankar ended up his thought of peace talk with that terrorist group. He also added they should be dealt with Military in his meeting with media in Agartala.
Ravi Shankar had hosted successfully the World Culture Festival last month. This 59-years-old spiritual leader is on visit to north eastern states. He left for Kolkata on Thursday. After 3 days he planned to visit Tripura. His meetings will be held on various parts of the states. He insists on the need of peace in the north eastern states. He says his aim is to unite all culture, religions, ideologies and faith.
His World Culture Festival which was held on the bank of Yamuna by Art of Living Foundation. The National Green Tribunal (NGT) set up an expert committee to inspect the venue about the damage for the environment due to the festival. The committee earlier last month said the land was not fully vacated. They could not be clear until the land was vacated fully.
Hearing on both sides, NGT charged Rs. 5 crores as fine to Sri Sri Ravi Shankar as initial compensation. They have paid Rs. 25 lakhs and promised to pay remaining amount within 3 weeks. The committee set by NGT earlier recommended Rs. 150 crores as compensation.
